Patrick Bryant blends the prolific poignancy of Billy Bragg, the playful humor of Towns Van Zant and the ribbon-like vocal timbre of a young Willie Nelson. With his wife Shelle's harmonies, the music evokes the intimacy of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. It's heartfelt and raw... as all good alt-country/americana should be, and yet, seldom is. --Jimmy Ether, Producer

April Shows

Spring is springing and we're finally scheduling some dates again. First up will be a nice Friday afternoon set in mid-April for the Druid Hills Artist Market (April 17th at 12:00 noon -- details to follow soon).

Following that I'll be joining some friends in a fun cover jam for the Northwoods Montessori spring carnival. At the very least, the event will include the incomparable Katy Graves of Catfight, so that's gonna rawk.

The very next day -- Saturday, April 25 -- marks a return engagement of "Harmony for Life," the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention fundraiser event we played last year at this time. Held at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, this is a Big Deal and a really important cause. It's going to take place during the day this year, starting around lunch time. We're the very first act, taking the stage at 1:00 pm.

I'll be posting the deets for these shows soon, so stay tuned.

Pax,
Patrick

Wow, it's already Autumn Fest time again!

As an indicator of how time marches on, I just went to the "blogger dashboard" and copied an earlier post and pasted it in here. Then changed the content. Obviously.

We're playing this Saturday for the big arts and music festival hoopla down in Avondale Estates by the lake. Which is always beautiful and fun, unless it's freezing cold and raining, which might be the case this year. But I choose to look on the bright side. We'll be playing the closing slot on Saturday evening, 4:45 until 6:00, and we follow two fantastic acts: our friends "Strings Attached" and the always entertaining Brian Putnam, who also runs sound for the event. So come early, bring a friend, dig some art, dress warm, enjoy some music. Maybe bring a thermos of coffee too.

Join us on Friday, September 26th for an evening of music in the courtyard at Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Light food, beer and wine will be served, and childcare will even be provided. We'll be joined by the very talented Barbara Hotz and Brandon Duke, both fantastic songwriters and musicians. Tickets are $15 and proceeds benefit the church music program (which sponsors the event). Gather at 6:30; music starts around 7:00.
