Patrick Bryant blends the prolific poignancy of Billy Bragg, the playful humor of Towns Van Zant and the ribbon-like vocal timbre of a young Willie Nelson. With his wife Shelle's harmonies, the music evokes the intimacy of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. It's heartfelt and raw... as all good alt-country/americana should be, and yet, seldom is. --Jimmy Ether, Producer

Patrick Bryant is a singer/songwriter with nearly three decades' experience writing, arranging and performing music in diverse genres and styles. Having performed in a number of bands and with many fine musicians over the years, Patrick now records and performs with his wife Shelle. For over 20 years the two have been singing together, and Shelle's inventive harmonies and clear, lush voice create the perfect complement to Patrick's simple melodies.

Yet Another School Event

When you have three kids, it seems like the most common gigs are school events. We'll be playing in early March at a fundraiser for Druid Hills High School, where our eldest plays baseball now and will attend next year. We're working on a great set list that will include a broad swath of twentieth and 21st century classics. We'll have another guitar and percussion to round things out, so it should be fun.

We've played other shows since I last posted, including an outdoor festival in north Georgia that included acts from all over ranging from traditional gospel and bluegrass to contemporary acoustic rock. I ended up doing the sound for that, so I had the opportunity to work with all the musicians involved -- a great trade-off for the relative drudgery of sitting behind the board for most of the day.
